Donate to Aid Amanda's Dad in His Fight Against Cancer

Hi everyone, my name is Amanda Hightower, and my family's lives got turned upside down on Monday the 14th. I received a phone call that Monday morning from my father, and with tears in his eyes, I could hear him crying and telling me that he has something to tell me. It was that day when he found out he has stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer, and it had already spread to his T2 in his spine. I wasn't expecting that kind of news and just lost it. My whole family is devastated and still shocked by this news.

He was originally admitted to Gettysburg Hospital but was transferred to York Hospital that same day by ambulance. He's had to have two biopsies. The first biopsy was a failure; they accidentally put a small hole in my father's lung, which ended up having my father needing to have a tube put into his side to help inflate his lung back up. The test results came back from that biopsy, and it ended up only collecting dead cells, so they needed to repeat the biopsy. So, Monday the 21st, he had his second biopsy done, and today, the 23rd, we got the results back. It is stage 4 lung cancer, and it is non-small cell. It is not curable, and my dad will have 10 weeks of treatment of radiation.

They got denied help with the medical bills, so that's why I'm here creating a GoFundMe account for my father to try and help him with his medical bills and his other bills since he can't be working during this.
