Help a Single Mom Rebuild Her Life
We’re reaching out to ask for urgent support for my daughter, a devoted single mother of two young children. She is currently facing a critical moment in her life. Due to some unexpected medical issues, she must take at least a month off work. This comes on the heels of her taking time off a few months ago when her 4-year-old daughter had surgery and she needed to care for her throughout her recovery. As anyone in her position knows, time off means lost income — and for a single parent with no safety net, this has created an impossible situation.
On top of health concerns, she is in the process of securing affordable housing so she can provide a safer, more stable home for her children. She’s doing everything she can to give them a better life, but right now, she can’t do it alone. The stress of keeping up with rent, bills, and basic necessities — as well as juggling medical appointments while caring for two young children — can be overwhelming.
We’re asking for your help to raise emergency funds so she can focus on these important needs without having to worry during this difficult season. Every dollar will go toward rent, medical expenses, food, and basic needs during this transitional time. Your support — big or small — will make a real difference in helping this brave mother start the next chapter of her life with strength and hope.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
The cover photo is one of my most favorite photos of her. Before she was a momma, she bravely through-hiked the Condor Trail in California —being the very first person to actually finish the 400-mile through hike. She did this amazing feat in just 38 days with only a small backpack and a walking stick! She was featured in several articles, including one in National Geographic, for her bravery and stamina while forging a trail that no one was able to finish before her. (links included). She is a determined and hard working woman and mother.
