Hi, my name is Abigail, and I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this, but here I am.

When my parents found out I’m gay, they cut me off completely. I lost everything overnight: my car, my phone, my health insurance, and even the funds they were providing me for college. They pulled all of their support simply because of who I am and who I love.

I had no choice but to move in with my girlfriend, who has been my rock through all of this. I’ve been working, doing everything I can to stay afloat. I have a full-time job and a part-time job, but it’s just not enough. It all adds up fast, and without the safety net I once had, I’m struggling to keep up.

I’ve worked hard for my education and my future, and I’m still determined to reach those goals. But I can’t do it alone. I’m only asking for help to cover college expenses.
