Help Asheville, NC Adult Soccer field access and development
Donation protected
This GoFundMe is organized by ABASA
(Asheville Buncombe Adult Soccer Association) in partnership with NCASA (NC Adult Soccer Association).
ABASA lost the fields primarily used by our league (the John B. Lewis Soccer Complex in Swannanoa, NC) to flooding during Hurricane Helene. We've got over 1,000 players registered for our return-to-soccer spring 2025 league, using space across the Asheville area! Your donations can help adults play soccer in Asheville in the following ways:
Equipment:
- $600 purchases t-shirts for our pub league
- $1,900 will pay for an 8v8 goal
Scholarships: Many of our players lost homes, jobs, cars, or suffered other property damage during the hurricane.
- $70-$100 can pay for an ABASA player to register for a season
- $600 sponsors a pub league team
Field access:
- contribute to field rental costs for the spring 2025 season
- with enough donations -- purchasing and developing (lighting and turfing) Asheville land to play on in the future.
- potentially contributing to the renewal of the JBL Complex if the project is approved
They say about football, "Of all of the unimportant things, football is the most important" (Pope John Paul II).
Contributions will go to NCASA (North Carolina Adult Soccer Association), a nonprofit.
