Guardian for a Vietnam Veteran’s Honor Flight

My name is Jennifer McCall, and I am honored to have the opportunity to be an Honor Flight guardian for my Father, Ron McCall. This is something that means a lot to him; he has never had the chance to see our Nation’s capital. What’s more, it will be a significant experience for him to feel honored as someone who has fought for his country.

My Dad is a Vietnam Veteran who has experienced a lot in his years and worked hard to support our family. It is my honor to be chosen as his guardian for the Central Valley Honor Flight he will participate in this fall.

While the trip is entirely covered for the Veteran (my dad in this case), as a guardian, I pay my way on this flight to D.C. This trip for us is all about my Dad. It will be an honor and a joy to see how this trip will impact him. I am for certain going, but if any friends or family wanted to help my little family curb the cost, then we would accept any gift as a blessing to help honor my Dad.

The fee I will pay for the Honor Flight is $1500, which will cover my flight with Dad and everything in DC (aside from personal purchases). Whatever is raised, we are grateful and want to say “thank you” in advance to our loved ones.
