Donate to Kristin to aid in her medical battle

Hi, I am Linda Shields and I am raising funds for our daughter Kristin Blackburn. She has been in and out of the hospital for several months now. They have found that she does have end-stage liver failure. However, she has started to get dizzy all the time. She faints and falls. The hospital in Fort Wayne couldn't tell her any cause or what to do, so they were going to send her to their rehab for physical and occupational therapy as she might have to learn to live with it. Their rehab turned her down because of her diagnosis, so they sent her for rehab to the Betz Nursing Home in Auburn, Indiana.

They have started to work with her, and Friday she could only walk 40 feet with a walker and was falling twice before they caught her. The cognitive therapist came in and talked at great length about her symptoms and her thoughts. On the third day, Friday, he came in and told her that he used to work with a neurologist at John Hopkins and that the doctor was now at the Mayo Clinic. . However, they have asked for a $5000 down payment and because they don't take her insurance she would be responsible of the entire bill.

The problem is that she has not been able to work; she is the income for the family right now. She cannot work!

They now have her set up with a neurologist for June 24 and her therapist has given them an extensive list of her symptoms so nothing is left out. She forgets things and confuses her words.
