February is Heart Awareness Month. Let's come together to ensure BC's kids receive the highest level of cardiac care. Donate this February, and the donation will be matched!
Just over a year ago, our family almost lost one of our youngest, a 13 year old boy, to a sudden and unexpected cardiac arrest at school. Two individuals at the school immediately provided him with CPR and used an automated external defibrillator. He was then taken to South Okanagan General Hospital, and flown to BC Children's Hospital, where he made his miraculous recovery. We are so grateful to those two individuals, and the staff at SOGH & BC Children's that were involved in saving his life, as without their help, such a young life would have been lost. We were fortunate with these circumstances, however, heart disease is still stopping too many young kids. You can help change that.
