This Ramadan, we are raising funds to help build a mosque and contribute towards a beautiful act of Sadaqah Jariyah — a charity that continues to reward long after it is given.

This effort is dedicated on behalf of my beloved grandfather, Ch Alaf Din, with the intention that every act of worship performed in this mosque becomes a source of ongoing reward for him and for everyone who contributes.

The Prophet ﷺ taught us that when a person passes away, their deeds come to an end except for three things: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.

By contributing to the construction of a mosque, you become part of something that continues to give reward for generations.

Imagine the reward:

• Every person who enters the mosque to pray

• Every sajdah made within its walls

• Every letter of the Qur’an that is recited

• Every child who learns the words of Allah

• Every gathering of remembrance and knowledge

• Every letter of the Quraan that gets recited rewarding them, you and the ones who built the Mosque

Each of these acts will not only reward the one performing them, but also those who helped make the mosque possible.

And during Ramadan, when rewards are multiplied, and especially during the nights where Laylatul Qadr may fall — a night better than 1,000 months — even the smallest donation can carry immense weight.

Ramadan is the month of mercy, forgiveness and multiplied rewards. Imagine giving a small charity on a night where the reward is multiplied beyond imagination.

Whether you give £1 or £1,000, every contribution helps lay a brick towards a house of Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
