Artists, freelancers and other people in precarious work situations are currently facing a financial emergency. Help us build a hardship fund for people who are unable to work due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

With the current Coronavirus pandemic many people are losing work, cancelling performances and events that they rely on financially to survive and pay rent, especially those of us who work in the arts, freelance, in feminised labour positions and hospitality.

Those of us who do not receive a salary or sick pay will need financial help supporting ourselves during this exceptionally uncertain time, especially as more and more people self-isolate and potentially quarantines are put in place we will be unable to sell our work or labour.

Please support our community, your artist friends and people in other precarious work positions as most of us will not be able to survive on Universal Credit and will not be eligible for statutory sick pay or housing benefit. We will rely on other systems of financial support.

We are setting up this support fund for people who are unable to pay their rent or survive financially due to the decline in work and other paid opportunities over the course of the Coronavirus pandemic.

We are aware that everyone is concerned right now, however those of us who struggle to make ends meet will now be facing severe financial hardship. If you are employed or in a position to help people who are worrying for their financial survival or fearing homelessness in the coming months please let’s support each other and offer to donate whatever you are able to to this emergency fund. All donations here will go to supporting people reaching out who are in severe financial difficulty due to work shortages and other financial cuts at this time.

If you are unable to donate please share!
