This critical habitat for the nationally threatened Growling Grass Frog and 29 other threatened species is itself facing a precarious challenge,

We urgently need to raise $750,000 to purchase the property in northern Victoria, Australia and secure its healthy future through the next five years of restoration.

The Wetland Revival Trust has a rare and urgent window of opportunity right now, to purchase and secure the future of ‘Wirra-Lo’ - a 180-hectare property within the southern Murray-Darling Basin. Wirra-Lo has already been the subject of significant restoration activity by its current owners, working in conjunction with us (Wetland Revival Trust) and local Indigenous communities. The property supports extensive natural woodlands, grasslands and eleven wetlands, and is culturally significant to Barapa Barapa and Wemba Wemba Traditional Owners.
