In Malaysia, our project partners - both survivors of human trafficking themselves - have dedicated their lives to rescuing children from traffickers. They provide safety, medical care, counselling, education, and housing to help these children rebuild their lives.
But when the children turn 18, many face a heartbreaking reality: they “age out” of the system. With little or no education, no family support, and the stigma of being seen as “damaged,” their chances of building a normal life are painfully slim. Many cannot marry, many cannot have children, and most cannot find work that pays enough to live. Too often, their only option is to return to the same cycle of exploitation they fought so hard to escape.
That’s why we are launching a new project: a halfway house for young women who are no longer children, but not yet able to live independently. This home will be a safe place where they can continue to receive support, gain life skills, and pursue education until they are truly ready to step into independence.
Your gift will help provide:
• Safe housing in a secure, loving environment
• Education and skills training for jobs they can truly thrive in
• Counseling and ongoing care for trauma recovery
• Hope - the belief that a future outside of exploitation is possible
Every dollar raised brings us closer to opening this house and giving these young women a chance to write a new story for their lives - one of dignity, independence, and hope.
Together, we can make sure survival isn’t the end of the story - it’s the beginning.
Funds will be managed and dispersed via the MetalMorphosis Charitable Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non profit organisation. Funds raised will be used to establish, furnish and fit out a halfway house, including rent for the first 12 months. Continued rehabilitation programs will be administered by our Malaysian Project Partners, and funded by the MetalMorphosis Charitable Foundation.
