On March 28, Myanmar was devastated by a 7.7 earthquake that has caused significant loss of life and destruction of vital infrastructure and landmarks. The country was already ripped apart by civil war and this setback is unimaginable to an already-suffering people.
These are my people — I was born there and recently visited just weeks before the earthquake hit — and I’m heartbroken over the suffering and isolation many there feel.
But that pain is a far second to the rebuilding ahead of Myanmar.
Please join me in providing aid to those affected.
