It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother 44263 Kyle Chidlow. Kyle passed away on July 26 2024 at the young age of 40, leaving behind his loving parents Glenn and Linda along with his 2 dogs Philly and Alfred and several other family members. Kyle started his ILWU career on June 12 2006 and was sworn in as a Union Member on March 18 2020 where he made many friendships that turned into family relationships. He was our brother and he is missed by so many. He was a very social and respectful person who would always take time to chat or have a quick laugh with all his brothers and sisters. Kyle loved both of his families so very much and we all loved him right back..At the ILWU, our motto and the words we live by are An Injury to One is An Injury to All and at times like this is where we need to step up and show it. We are gathering donations to help Kyle's family with the cost of cremation, vet bills, care for his pets, a celebration of life and whatever other costs that his family may have accumulated due to the tragic loss of their son and our brother.. Brother Kyle, you were one of a kind and you are going to be so missed by all of us at the ILWU and especially Local 500, your distinct smile, contagious laugh and your overall vibe will never be forgotten..We love you with all our hearts, there will never be another one like you. You were a real one. An Injury to One is An Injury to All. ❤️
Details of time and place for a celebration of life will be posted soon and if anyone would like to share pictures of Kyle, please do so by sending them to Lindsay Jervis or Morgan Schildt or leave a comment or message on here and they will get a hold of you. Thank you for your support.
