Dear friends, supporters, and caring strangers,

We are heart‑broken to share that our beloved colleague Tara has passed away. Every day at the VCLA hub, Tara’s warm laugh and genuine kindness lit up the space and lifted our spirits.

Tara had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel truly valued. She listened with genuine interest, offered encouragement, and celebrated each person’s successes—big or small. Her optimism, her humour and her warm presence created a supportive, joyful atmosphere that made our centre feel like a second home for many.

Outside of work, Tara was a devoted single mother who did everything she could to provide for her family. Those who knew her know that she always put her children’s needs ahead of her own, no matter the circumstances. Her love for her kids was unconditional and unwavering. She was also a beloved daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and cousin.

We are reaching out for help to cover Tara’s funeral expenses so her family can focus on remembering her, as well as to help alleviate financial burdens as Tara was her children’s only financial provider.
