Hello to all our family and friends,

This is Azha (Shannalee’s daughter). I am writing to you with a heavy heart to tell you that my mother has passed away.

As many of you know, she was on her second battle with cancer. Everyday was difficult for her, and we can take solace in knowing she is no longer in pain. She stayed in my house with me for the past 3 months, and they were the most amazing, most difficult time of my life. So please know she passed on with as much love and care as possible. She moved here to Houston for peace, and I know for certain that myself, my aunt Jennifer, and my uncle Steven were able to give that to her.

We remember her for all the good times and sad times. She was an amazing mother and I only wish I could’ve had more time with her.

At this time there are no plans for a service or memorial, as was my mother’s wishes. Many of you have reached out with your condolences and my brother Marcell and I greatly thank you.
