Rosemary (Rose) Flaherty Newsum passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 25th. She leaves behind her husband, Larry, and her son, Toshiro, as well as the many other friends and family that love her dearly. Rose was passionate and caring, dedicating much of her time to political activism and taking care of everyone around her. She loved enjoying her morning cup of coffee while watching the sunrise and listened to KCBX’s Celtic Crossroads every Saturday evening. She was also an avid gardener and bookworm, and she loved to travel.
