Donate in memory of Ricky Simmons Jr.

With overwhelming sadness, I tell you of the unexpected death of my brother, Ricky.

Many of you have asked how you can help our family during this difficult time. Instead of sending cards and flowers, we ask that you donate to Ricky's memorial fund. We appreciate any help you can give. We really appreciate your love and support.

The death of Ricky's father, Rick Sr., in 2016 was very hard for our whole family, but especially so for Ricky. Unfortunately, this loss, along with so many others that Ricky had suffered in his short life, left him in a vulnerable state, and he lost his way. Every day after that became a struggle for him. We know the pain of our suffering as his friends and family. Despite our efforts, Ricky's suffering tragically took his life.

As soon as I can arrange it, I would like us to come together at a memorial to remember Ricky as we once knew him. I will post the date when it's arranged. My loving, sweet older brother. The loving and supportive son, nephew, cousin and brother-in-law. The loyal friend who made us laugh. The talented and smart young man who left us too soon. Ricky, we will miss you very much. Ricky will join his dad, Rick Sr., and his grandma and grandpa in heaven.
