It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our Brother, Family, Friend, and Trusted Colleague Juan Francisco Hernandez-Alvarez (John Hernandez) has passed away and moved on to be with his beloved mother and father in Heaven. All of us who knew and loved him, even if only for a short time, knew how caring and giving his heart truly was to all. He was a graduate of San Mateo High School then went on to receive is B.A. from Santa Clara University. He worked for one of the largest accounting firms in the state before moving on to start his own practice. With his kind nature, sharp sense of humor, professionalism, and commitment to social justice he was able to help many families and individual members of the community in a meaningful long-lasting way. With his sudden passing we are creating this GoFundMe page to ask the community that he loved and helped in so many ways above and beyond accounting to help support a fund to honor our beloved brother John (Johnny) Hernandez. I know he is looking down on all of us saying “Don’t forget to do your taxes”. We love you Johnny.
