We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Granny/Mummy passed away in the Philippines after a long fight with pneumonia, which sadly led to other complications.
She had recently celebrated her 91st birthday there, and one thing about her was that she never stopped travelling, despite her age. She was so full of life and love. She was the queen of our family, our everything. She loved to cook and bake, and preparing meals for her family was her way of showing love. She never stopped caring for everyone, right up until the very end. Granny was kind, warm and generous to everyone. She had so much love to give to anyone she crossed paths with.
When she fell ill during her trip, she was so desperate to regain her strength and come home to the UK to be surrounded by her family, but she didn’t make it back in time. Sadly, we never imagined that this would be her final trip.
Now, it is the heartfelt wish of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to bring her back home and lay her to rest here beside her one true love, our Grandad just as she wanted.
Repatriating a loved one is a complicated and very costly process. It involves preparation, flights, paperwork, and funeral arrangements, and the total cost is far more than we can manage alone.
We are reaching out to our friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers for help. Any donation, no matter the size, will bring us closer to fulfilling Mummy’s wish. Even if you cannot donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and support during this very painful time.
