Hi, my name is Penny Ferguson and I am Jennifer Lord’s older sister. My sister tragically died February 9, 2023 at her home in Albuquerque, NM at the young age of 39. My relationship with my sister had hardship, but for the past 7 years, we became the best of friends and we spoke to each other almost every day.
Jennifer was in the process of planning her wedding later this year on 11/11/23 to Tim Reese who was the love of her life. It’s heartbreaking that she leaves behind an autistic 8 year old daughter named Addy Maye with Tim, a 20 year old daughter named Alicia, and a 16 year old son named Isaac from a previous relationship.
Jennifer was an intuitive mechanic that loved to work on cars, especially Audi’s. She loved Audi’s and even inspired me to recently buy my first Audi. She was always available to help me and others. My sister started her own business helping clients clean and organize their homes. She often acted as a personal assistant and a trusted companion to her clients.
A memory I will always have of my sister is that she loved her animals, especially dogs and fish. Growing up we had several aquariums in our home. Even her first job in high school was working for PetsMart. Visiting her in ABQ, my kids and I would admire how how immaculate and clean her fish aquariums were. She had quite the fish collection. Jennifer provided a loving and therapeutic environment that allowed her autistic daughter Addy to thrive.
Jennifer’s passing has been very trying, but we will always remember her as a bright light and generous soul. She will be sorely missed by her family and everyone that knew her.
