My name is Steven, and I had the blessing of being a very close and long-time friend of Milan and his family.

It breaks my heart to even write these words: my dear friend Milan has left this world far too soon, at only 35 years old.

Just the evening before, Milan was sitting next to his wife Michelle, watching TV. Before falling asleep, around midnight, he turned to her and said the most beautiful words a husband can say: “I love you.”

That was the last time she would ever hear his voice.

The next morning, Michelle tried to wake him so he could meet his cousin. But Milan didn’t wake up. In shock and despair, she tried everything to bring him back, and so did the emergency doctor for over 30 minutes. But nothing could be done… At 08:00, Milan was declared gone.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Michelle, and their two precious children: Liam (6) and Enya (8).

Not only is their world shattered beyond repair, but the small family business that Milan helped run is now left without its heart. Michelle is facing unimaginable grief, overwhelming responsibilities, and serious financial hardship – all at once.

No words can ease the pain of losing Milan – a loving husband, devoted father, and loyal friend. But what we can do is stand by Michelle, Liam, and Enya in this darkest hour.
