I never imagined having to write something like this.

As many of you know, we very suddenly lost our mum. Her passing came as a complete shock, and we are still trying to come to terms with such a huge loss.

Sadly, Mum didn’t have any funds or funeral arrangements in place, so the cost of her funeral has fallen on us unexpectedly. This is incredibly difficult to ask, and there is absolutely no obligation at all, but if anyone feels able to contribute in any way, it would mean more to us than words can express.

Our youngest brother was still living at home with Mum, and the road ahead is going to be especially hard for him. He is now facing the reality of living alone and managing the upkeep of the house, or possibly having to move out altogether. At the moment, there are so many unknowns, and everything feels overwhelming.

Right now, our main focus is being there for each other and protecting our siblings from as much stress as possible. They have lost their mum, and the grandchildren have lost their grandma — a life-changing loss for our whole family. The last thing we want is for financial worries to add to the heartbreak during this already devastating time.

We aren’t sure sure of funeral arrangements as of yet, until we know what we can afford to do. But we will keep family and friends updated as soon as we know plans.
