Hi as some of you know for the last year I have been battling cancer more specifically non Hodgkins lymphoma (T cell) alongside HLH, this was found shortly after the birth of my son. Unfortunately even with completing a stem cell transplant and the most intense chemotherapy the cancer is to aggressive and I have now got a terminal diagnosis. While I live out my last days to the best of my ability, I want to emphasise the importance of the donations of blood, platelets and stem cells. Without any of these fighting cancer wouldn’t be possible and is vital alongside chemotherapy, or now in my case it helps to extend the time I have left and gives me the boost I need to enjoy precious moments with my son, husband and family. Joining the stem cell registry is quick and easy and there are humans in all walks of life waiting for a match including babies who deserve to live long pain free lives. On a more selfish note for those who are asking how they can help personally I have set up a just giving page as there is nothing more terrifying as to not have the ability to support your child in the future and make sure they have everything they need, even though I know he is in the safest hands when it comes to his daddy and family. Finally I just want to say thank you for all the people that have played a part in this last year and made it easier, whether it was visiting me in hospital, helping me to create memories or giving me the dignity to leave this world in the way I choose. I do not want to leave and I don’t understand how any of this is fair, especially for a child to lose a parent so young but if you have your health and so does your family, you have everything you need. So please give others out there a fighting chance and don’t let cancer win.
