Hi, my name is Karen. I had the privilege to get to know Shelley and Kassie over the past 2 years. During this short time I witnessed the love between a mother and a daughter, a true friendship, a forever bond. When Kassie tragically left us I was unsure how to support my friend.
When someone close dies at an older age, people often take comfort not only celebrating their life, but also knowing that death is part of the natural process of living. This experience is not the same when you are faced with the sudden death of your child. It makes no sense for a life to end at such a young age - particularly when the death is sudden and without warning. Shelley’s life has changed forever.
I am sending out this message to ask for the community (friends and family) to help support Shelley through the uncertain days, weeks, months ahead. We cannot take the pain away but we contribute a little to support the farm and the care of the animals.
My friend is in a time if need. My hope is for the Community to rally and support Shelley, the farm and the animals Kassie absolutely adored.
Thank you for your consideration, love and support.
