We are facing a heartbreaking tragedy.
A young girl Karina Brydnya passed away here in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was so young, with her whole life ahead of her. Unfortunately, she was completely alone here, she had no family in Canada.
Her mother and sister are in Ukraine, and due to the circumstances, they are unable to come to Canada to say goodbye to her.
This pain is impossible to put into words. No mother should have to lose her child from afar, without the chance to hold her hand one last time, without a final farewell.
My name is Tetiana Lisunova , and I am organizing this fundraising campaign together with Maryna Horobets and with the assistance of her former husband Mykhailo, who is helping us handle all funeral arrangements and make this process possible.
We are trying to do the only thing we can for her now - to give her a dignified farewell. The plan is to cremate her here in Canada and send her ashes home to her mother in Ukraine, so she can finally have her daughter back home.
Unfortunately, all of this comes with significant costs: funeral services, cremation, documentation, and transportation of the ashes overseas. Without family here, there is no one else to take on this burden.
We are asking for help. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Even sharing this message means so much.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, compassion, and support.
