Dear Friends and Family,

We are fundraising to honour Joan's eight carers with a heartfelt gift of gratitude, from all of our hearts to theirs.

For five of Joan’s eight bedbound years, her carers were the daily pillars who supported our love, our strength, and our spirits.

When someone cares for your sick and bedbound mother, and they do it with open hearts, you live with an eternal gratitude that will never fade.

Please help us in showing appreciation for Joan's wonderful carers (angels, I always called them). Their unwavering love, compassion, patience, kindness and understanding, day in and day out, helped Joan live out her final years in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her daughters, grandsons, and loved ones.

The carers would treat Joan by buying her lunch meals she enjoyed, gifts for her birthday, and sharing their own celebratory foods. Carers just doing a job don't do things like that...people who deeply love and care about you, do things like that.

These incredible women became so much more than carers, they became part of our family. And we will miss their daily presence in our lives.

Because of them, Joan’s journey was filled with dignity, love, and peace. Their presence brought light during some of the most challenging times, and their care made all the difference in Joan's life, and ours.

We have created this gift fund as a small token of our endless gratitude and admiration for mum's lovely carers. If Joan touched your heart, or if you simply feel moved by the devotion these women showed, we invite you to join us in blessing them.
