Honoring the Life and Wishes of James “Rambo” LaFrankie
It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of James “Rambo” LaFrankie, who left us early this morning, July 25, 2025, at the age of 61. Rambo was a proud Marine Corps veteran, a devoted brother and friend, and a cherished grandfather through love.
Rambo’s passing came far too soon, following a late diagnosis of colon cancer that gave us little time to prepare. One thing he was always clear about was his wish to be cremated, and we, his family, are doing everything we can to honor that wish. In this difficult time, we are humbly asking for support to help cover the costs of his cremation and final arrangements.
Rambo was truly unforgettable. He was one of the goofiest people you could ever meet—always cracking jokes, pulling pranks, and making everyone around him laugh. But he was also a firecracker, full of passion and personality, never afraid to speak his mind or stand up for what he believed in. He had a soft side too, and he found simple joys in life—like relaxing with his favorite tablet games and watching sports in his man shed.
He leaves behind a family who adored him deeply: his three sisters, Natalie, Carla, and Marie, two step-children - Anna and Kari- six grandchildren through love—Ashley, Alisa, Dylan, Emily, Aaron, and Ciana— as well as his significant other, Denise, all of whom were touched by his humor, his strength, and his heart.
We want to fulfill Rambo’s wishes and honor his life the way he deserves. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us take one step closer to that. If you’re unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser so others who knew and loved him can help as well.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support during this painful time.
With love and gratitude,
The Family of James “Rambo” LaFrankie
