This is extremely difficult to write. For someone who talks a lot, I'm at a loss for words.

I was not fortunate enough to to know Gavin, and after hearing his loved one's stories, I regret it. 'Sweetest kid.' 'Funny. So funny.' He touched so many lives during his short life.

Most of you have now heard, that Paul and Amanda are living all of our worst nightmare. Paul is left with questions, grief and sweet memories of his only child. No parent should outlive their child. And the last thing Paul and Amanda should have to worry about is the financial burden associated with Gavin's passing. Nothing we can do can ease their pain, but we can alleviate the worry of lost wages and funeral expenses.

My connection to the family is my stepdaughter, Alli, lost her stepbrother. I don't want to see her family suffer any more than they already are.
