Donate in Memory of Gail Palmer to NCECBVI

Gail Palmer taught in the schools of rural southeast Nebraska for 45 years as a speech pathologist. With her passing on July 3, Gail's final wishes were to direct memorial donations to the school that she loved so much - the Nebraska School for the Education of Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired (NCECBVI).

Lovingly called NCEC by those in the know, it is a special place. Some of Nebraska's most amazing public servants educate and care for precious children with unique needs. For decades, Gail worked at NCEC with the kind of passion many hope to find in life. She would work on nights and weekends to make more of her books accessible, teaching her daughter how to help her use a Perkins Brailler typewriter. She loved attending their annual prom and other school events. She took additional classes and certifications to support her students more expertly.

NCECBVI is a special community, a special school deserving of support and gifts in memory of Gail.
