Gun violence in Toronto has hit another low.

Respected futsal and soccer referee Edwin Farley Alvarado Quintero has sadly passed away after a terrible and senseless act of violence occurred on Sunday evening.

The respected 49 year-old official from Woodbridge, Ontario was simply doing his job and passion as a referee when a fight broke out inside the La Liga Sports Complex in Toronto.

The dispute escalated to the level where a man armed with a gun fired shots into the venue hitting three men. Tragically Mr. Alvarado succumbed to his injuries. He leaves behind his wife Alejandra Alvarado and his two daughters age 13 and 18.

La violencia armada en Toronto ha alcanzado otra persona inocente. El respetado árbitro de fútbol sala y fútbol Edwin Farley Alvarado Quintero falleció tristemente después de un terrible y sin sentido acto de violencia ocurrido el domingo por la noche. El respetado funcionario de 49 años de Woodbridge, Ontario, simplemente estaba haciendo su trabajo y su pasión como árbitro cuando estalló una pelea dentro del complejo deportivo de La Liga en Toronto. La disputa se intensificó hasta el punto en que un hombre armado con una pistola disparó al lugar y golpeó a tres hombres. Trágicamente, el Sr. Alvarado sucumbió a sus heridas.

Tragicamente deja a su esposa Alejandra Alvarado y sus dos hijas de 18 y 13 años.
