Donate in memory of David John ‘DJ’ Wilkins
Donation protected
DJ was a young man who was loved deeply by everyone around him. On the 26th February 2025, he was sadly found passed away in his bed at home. We are asking for donations to help my Aunt Rose with the funeral costs for her son. All money raised will be used for DJs funeral cost, and any left over will be donated to MIND, for the use of bettering mental health services. We are incredibly passionate about the need for these services especially among young men, who sometimes find it harder to access the vital care they need.
DJ suffered with epilepsy and mental health issues throughout most of his adult life. He was trying to create a happy life where he felt safe and comfortable. Aunt Rose is a Nurse and has always helped everyone she can, we are hoping that we can now give something back to her to make this difficult time a little easier for her.
Aunt Rose had alerted the authorities (police and ambulance) for the 24 hours prior to his passing, requesting both services to attend for a welfare check as DJ was not responding to phone calls or his front door. Neither services attended the scene until the morning of the 26th, when it was too late. His Mum and sister were the people to first attend his flat after the police arrived. DJ also has 2 brothers and a little nephew who he loved dearly. He will be deeply missed by everyone around him, he was one of kind and his loss will always be with us.
Thank you for your support xx
