In Loving Memory of Ann Beatrice Ouattara
With heavy hearts, we share that Ann Beatrice Ouattara passed away on October 22, 2025. Born April 6, 1965 in Saiya, Kenya, Ann lived in the Bronx, New York, and touched the lives of many with her kindness and faith.
Ann was the cherished wife of Dauda Ouattara of Bronx, NY, devoted mother of Maureen Vivian Atieno and Adam Junior Ouattara, and loving grandmother to Johnpaul Wood Otieno, Travis Aiden Ang’asa, Raheem Ouattara, and Kaimah Ouattara. She was the stepmother to Kareem Ouattara and Adja Ouattara. She is survived by many siblings and a wide circle of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent Mugema and Rosemary Atieno Mugema.
Professionally, Ann dedicated herself to helping others. In Kenya, she taught English and Luo to foreign students. In the United States, she contributed to numerous organizations and, most recently, served with passion at Services for the Underserved (SUS) even during illness.
Ann’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted Catholic, known for her compassionate words and unwavering gratitude. Ann was friendly person loved to travel the world. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
