Donate in Memory of Alex Patterson

Dear Friends,

My name is Gabby Compean and I am writing this on behalf of Sindy and her family as they navigate this difficult loss. As some of you may know, Alex Patterson passed away earlier this month and it was very unexpected. Although Alex had not been feeling well, his passing was truly a shock to all who knew him.

Alex was a son, a father and a husband who deeply loved and cared for his family. Alex made an impression on anyone he met because when you spoke to him, you were always speaking to his real and true self. In a world where many shy away from expressing themselves, Alex was always honest with his words and opinions. Known for his big smile, Alex was the life of any party he attended and was always ready to make you smile with his goofy personality and jokes. If there was a song playing in the background, everyone knew that they would soon hear Alex singing along. He was always there for people when they needed him although he asked for very little in return. Alex loved the freedom of the open road, especially on his beloved bike. Alex may have been a complex person but to know Alex was to love him.

Alex passing away was very sudden and unexpected. He leaves behind two young daughters that will miss their dad very much. He leaves behind a grieving wife who has lost her husband and best friend. Alex’s friends and family are left with an emptiness that will be impossible to fill. Sadly, we don’t know exactly what happened except it appears that he suffered a fall that resulted in his passing. We hope to have an autopsy to find out more but it is still pending. We ask that you bear with us during these uncertain times.

Asking for monetary assistance doesn’t come easy but due to the unexpectedness of this all, we weren’t prepared for any upcoming expenses. Without Alex, Sindy and her daughter can no longer remain in the house that they had been residing in. Unfortunately, the loss of Alex also means the loss of their home. Right now, Sindy needs her community. We understand that, in this economy, it is a tough time to ask for help, but the loss of a loved one is never convenient. We want to make it clear that any amount, big or small, is absolutely helpful. We want you to know that any amount is deeply appreciated.

Any funds we procure with your, much appreciated assistance, will go towards:

1. Funeral arrangements as Alex would have wanted.

2. Moving expenses for Alex’s family.

3. New housing expenses after the move.

Me llamo Gabby Compean y les escribo en nombre de Sindy y su familia, quienes atraviesan esta difícil pérdida. Como algunos ya saben, Alex Patterson falleció a principios de este mes de forma muy inesperada. Aunque Alex no se sentía bien, su fallecimiento fue un verdadero shock para quienes lo conocieron.

Alex era un hijo, un padre y un esposo que amaba y cuidaba profundamente a su familia. Alex dejaba huella en todos los que lo conocían, porque cuando hablabas con él, siempre hablabas con su verdadero yo. En un mundo donde muchos evitan expresarse, Alex siempre fue honesto con sus palabras y opiniones. Conocido por su gran sonrisa, Alex era el alma de cualquier fiesta a la que asistía y siempre estaba dispuesto a hacerte sonreír con su personalidad divertida y sus chistes. Si sonaba una canción de fondo, todos sabían que pronto lo oirían cantar. Siempre estaba ahí para quienes lo necesitaban, aunque pedía muy poco a cambio. Alex amaba la libertad de la carretera, especialmente en su querida bicicleta. Puede que Alex fuera una persona compleja, pero conocerlo era amarlo.

El fallecimiento de Alex fue repentino e inesperado. Deja atrás a dos hijas pequeñas que extrañarán mucho a su padre. Deja atrás a una esposa afligida que perdió a su esposo y mejor amigo. Los amigos y familiares de Alex sienten un vacío que será imposible llenar. Lamentablemente, no sabemos exactamente qué sucedió, excepto que parece que sufrió una caída que provocó su fallecimiento. Esperamos realizar una autopsia para obtener más información, pero aún está pendiente. Les pedimos paciencia en estos momentos de incertidumbre.

Solicitar ayuda económica no es fácil, pero debido a lo inesperado de todo esto, no estábamos preparados para los gastos futuros. Sin Alex, Sindy y su hija ya no pueden permanecer en la casa donde vivían. Desafortunadamente, la pérdida de Alex también significa la pérdida de su hogar. En este momento, Sindy necesita a su comunidad. Entendemos que, en esta situación económica, es difícil pedir ayuda, pero la pérdida de un ser querido nunca es conveniente. Queremos dejar claro que cualquier donación, grande o pequeña, es de gran ayuda. Queremos que sepan que cualquier donación es muy apreciada.

Todos los fondos que obtengamos con su valiosa ayuda se destinarán a:

1. Los gastos funerarios, como Alex hubiera deseado.

2. Los gastos de mudanza para la familia de Alex.

3. Los gastos de la nueva vivienda después de la mudanza.
