Hi, my name is Keji and I am fundraising on behalf of my step sister, Abiola Babajide, who left us on the 29th of November 2023.

Abiola Babajide was born with Type 1 diabetes 27 years ago. She lost her biological mum through diabetes complications 17 years ago. Her parents never knew she had genetic diabetes until after 10 years of age when her diabetes management began.

Growing into adolescence was very difficult for Abiola and several issues arose throughout her life. Abiola wanted to live a good life but had to manage the complications of diabetes which was painful and expensive.

She got excellent support from immediate family and friends over the years, but eventually unfortunately succumbed to take a rest in her sleep.

We were all looking forward to celebrating her 28th birthday just a week later. But the whole family is heartbroken at this sudden death of our beloved sister, daughter and friend. She is survived by her dad, brother, godmother, step sister, step mom, sister-in-law and her nephews.

She will be buried in Atlanta on December 7, her birthday. Please help us raise funds to support her burial. We appreciate every help we can get.
