Donate in Loving Memory of Vlad

My name is Lexi and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my brother’s best friend, Vladislav Gryshchenko.

Vlad was truly one of a kind — witty, brilliant and able to light up any room he walked into. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson and loyal friend, an OFSAA level swimmer, outstanding teammate, a talented musician and competitive ballroom dancer. Vlad achieved recognition in robotics competitions and got 100% in high school courses. Vlad was an excellent Instructor Lifeguard with a passion for teaching and helping his students get better. As a camp counselor, Vlad enjoyed his time with campers outdoors.

Vlad’s warmth, kindness, and quick humor touched everyone who knew him. He was deeply loved by his parents, sister, grandmother, other family and many friends. Losing him leaves an unimaginable emptiness that can never be filled. Vlad had a deep compassion for the friends he loved and always showed concern when they were facing challenges.

In this time of unimaginable grief, we are raising funds to help support Vlad’s family with the unexpected expenses they now face. Our goal is to raise $30,000 so they can focus on healing and honoring Vlad’s memory without added financial strain.

Family and friends are invited to visitation at the Henry Walser Funeral Home in Kitchener, 507 Frederick Street in Kitchener, [phone redacted], on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 5-9 pm. The funeral will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10 am at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration, 131 Victoria Street South, Kitchener, followed by interment at Williamsburg Cemetery, 1541 Fischer-Hallman Road, Kitchener, and a reception in the Ukrainian Catholic Centre, 15 Michael Street, Kitchener.
