My name is Travis. I was on a trip with my family in Tennessee in April when we stopped at Buccees. In the middle of the store I had a tonic clonic seizure that almost caused me to have a stroke. Thankfully it didn't. However, it did cause me to lose 40% of my hearing and cause cognitive decline and continued focal impaired and non-impaired seizures. I currently continue to have 1-4 seizures every 7-10 days. I am going through test after test. Been let go from employment due to not being able to have adequate accommodations that can be made. (They did try, so no hard feelings). But I lost my primary insurance and my wife's insurance became primary which covers 70%. With all the testing and the appointments and other bills to pay and not able to work we are asking for assistance with just our portion of the hearing aids that is needed. It's getting dangerous with my loss of hearing and me being a man who still wants/needs to do what I can do and not be able to hear well. But we cannot afford at this time our portion.
