Wasini Island is a Swahili community off the coast of Kenya with many children who are excited about attending school. On a recent trip to Kenya, we visited with these children. The Kenyan government has established a school house on the island but the community must raise funds to pay and house a teacher and must pay for materials. We are raising money to purchase materials (pens, writing books, reading books) and to contribute towards school fees. We will accept donations of books which we will ship by boat or donations to pay for shipping and/or to pay for school fees.
