I am Jamie Coscino, Owner of Coscino's Italian Grill, Mandeville, LA. My best friend Susie Q was in a horrific motorcycle accident & is the hospital receiving treatment.

Well the vacation started out pretty good. We met up with four couples. We were heading out to Colorado and Utah for sure. We left about 12:30 am. Hit I-10 to 190 to I-49. Right before Shreveport, LA someone lost their golf cart in the road. Before I got to it, 3 cars had already hit it. Cart was lying on its side with black showing to me. It blended in with the night and the dark road. When I saw it, I swerved as hard as I could to miss it, but I caught the corner of it. Susie and I, that was riding with me, landed about 150 feet pass the golf cart. As soon as I came to a stop I pulled my helmet off & I tried to get up and look for Susie. When I tried getting up I could feel bone broken in my leg and ankle. Had to drag my self to Susie she was about 15 feet from me. The police and ambulance were there in minutes, because the guy reported he lost his golf cart, so police were looking for it. Susie Q Guntle took the worst of it. She lost her leg from right below knee down. Lost a finger and broke her shoulder blade. She needs followup surgeries. I have broken leg and ankle. They will put rods on the outside with screws to hold it in place till the swelling goes down. Then they will do surgery to put plate and screws. If I would’ve hit head on I wouldn’t be here today. Keep Susie in your prayers for speedy recovery.
