Simba is the most goofy, loving, and affectionate furry friend a girl could ask for. He never fails to light up a room and make everyone smile with his clumsy antics and cuddly charm. Simba turned 2 years old in February and has lived a very healthy life (yes, even despite his attempts to eat non-edible objects on multiple occasions).
On Wednesday, Simba had multiple seizures and was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy. To keep him comfortable and safe, he is spending several days at the Ohio State Emergency Vet. They are conducting multiple neurology exams and trialing different medications to improve his quality of life. Simba will need medication to prevent seizures for the rest of his life, and the vet staff is closely monitoring him to find the best option.
Even at 3:00 in the morning, the staff at OSU has been nothing but friendly, empathetic, and patient with both Simba and me during this stressful time. Unfortunately, high-quality care does not come cheap, and I want to provide him with the best treatment possible. A donation will go toward his hospital stay, neurology exams, imaging, and medication management. Currently, the estimated cost for his care is around $9,000. Any contribution will help Simba receive the best care and bring him home to me and his big sister, Nala. Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated during this challenging time.
