My name is Shanee. I am the last living member of my family. I have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. I am currently receiving treatment at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. I
don't have the money to have reconstructive surgery, and my insurance will only cover the cost if I have a mastectomy. If I can raise the money, I can at least have the possibility of physical and mental well-being while I continue to survive my diagnosis. I appreciate any kind financial donation given to help me through my difficult time. Money donated to me will not only help with what my insurance doesn't cover, but also purchasing a used vehicle to transport me to and from medical appointments and pay monthly bills. I have set a goal which won't cover both reconstructive surgery and a used vehicle purchase. I am hoping the donations will provide for the financial goals to cover both to help with my cancer. I am moving from my home state of California to New Mexico. As I wrote earlier All my family members are deceased. My good friend has invited me to live with him while I resume my cancer treatment at the New Mexico Cancer Center. On my last visit to UCDAVIS Medical Center I learned that my cancer has spread to my liver, lungs, kidneys, bones and a nodule in my throat. If you haven't already read my updates but if you have read them then you are aware that The physicians at UCDAVIS have stopped my chemotherapy because they don't want the antibiotics I am on to be less effective.
(Due to my back infection I caught at Asbury Park (snf) Nursing and Rehabilitation facility).....But the cancer lesions are expanding day to day without chemotherapy.

I know that UCDAVIS is a wonderful teaching hospital, but New Mexico Cancer Center is a cutting edge research and development medical facility that integrates science, medicine while developing new treatments to battle cancer and someday hopefully eradicating cancer and other deadly diseases.

I have completed my first round of radiation. The machine had flashing lights in my eyes. I didn't close my left eyes fast enough so now my left eye has had intermittent pain. I am not telling this for donations. I want others to know that therapy involves vomiting eyeball pain.chest pain and mood changes. I initially came back into the hospital this time because I was having a hard time breathing yet the doctors were finding out other issues and the primary reasons for coming to the hospital is forgotten. Now after a couple weeks weeks you start to remember that I came to the hospital is because of my issues with breathing. I finally get a c.t. scan and diagnosis that I have pneumonia so now after a few weeks I find out I got a urinary track infection, pneumonia and my eyes hurt like hell. Listening to other people yell out to others in ear shot. Is worse than having broken bones.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my current circumstances.
God Bless you all.

I have been at Ashbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for several weeks. Father Philip has been very kind to visit me when time permits. I recently started chemotherapy which is physically very draining. Before I left UCD I had a biopsy and endoscopy for the dark mask in my chest. The doctors couldn't figure out what exactly it is. I know one thing for sure since I started chemotherapy the area is extremely sore.
For about two weeks I had no access to my to my Go fund me page so I was unable to give updates and thank all you kind souls who continue to donate to my page. I try to stay in high spirits but sometimes the depression does get to me. I would love drawing to decorate my space. Nothing fancy or expensive. If the kids like drawing and coloring possible Father Philip could bring the lovely artistry by on his next visit to brighten up the walls. I would truly love ❤️ the beauty and gesture.

My oncologist at the New Mexico Cancer Center had me to take a P.E.T scan which revealed that the cancer is in the majority of my bones, lungs, kidneys, spleen and spine but luckily not in my liver as previously been told to me by UCDAVIS and my former oncologist in California. My walking isn't where I'd like it to be but I am blessed to be able to walk at all after cancer lesions broke two bones in my spine. (back)
