Hi! My name is Jennie Maloomian, and I am a long-time resident of Lewes, Delaware. Earlier this summer, my friend, Scott Dailey, was diagnosed with Esophageal Adenocarcinoma. He has long managed the symptoms of acid reflux and is now one of the 5% of people with this long-term condition who developed cancer. Scott has completed four rounds of chemotherapy and two rounds of immunotherapy with some excruciating side effects. Last week, Scott underwent surgery to remove the cancer along with part of his esophagus. He has suffered severe pain but is slowly recovering. Because of the cancer and the surgery, Scott will no longer be able to lie flat in a bed. He will need to sleep with at least a 30-degree incline for the rest of his life. This GoFundMe fundraiser is raising money so that Scott and his wife, Deniene, can buy a bed that will allow him to raise his head and not have to lie flat.
For many years, Scott and Deniene were our local Young Life leaders and welcomed hundreds of high school students into their home. Maybe (and PROBABLY) one of your kids. They love the Lord and they love others without abandon. And, in typical Scott-fashion, he is choosing to be grateful and praising God. He considers himself blessed. Today I am asking you to bless the Daileys with your generous donation to this fund!
Thank you!!
