On behalf of our dear friends Thomas and Stacey, we have started this GoFundMe to help them out with the medical bills that they have incurred since the birth of Paxton.

Paxton is a miracle baby and such a fighter! Throughout the last 2 months of pregnancy, doctors were unsure of Paxton’s anticipated kidney, heart, and lung function at birth. During this time, an army of prayer warriors stepped in to cover Paxton and the Wensil family in consistent prayer. With 15 medical professionals in the delivery room prepared for medical interventions, Paxton was born at 37 weeks 4 days and 7 lbs with no breathing intervention needed, a VSD but healthy heart function, a strong left kidney, and the ability to eat on his own without any feeding tubes. WHAT A MIRACLE! God has and continues to work miraculous healing in Paxton’s body and has provided an incredible team of medical professionals to guide his journey.

Paxton had multiple tests and procedures performed while being admitted to the NICU directly after birth, and now has an additional surgery on September 2nd. Insurance claims are still being processed, deductibles haven’t yet been met, and a new coverage year starts soon, so this surgery, along with follow-up care, will be out-of-pocket for the immediate future.

Despite coming home from the NICU to a leaking water heater and damaged floors in the home, Stacey fighting sickness since giving birth, having upcoming surgery, and continuing to travel for follow-up appointments — God has given grace and strength for each day and will continue to receive the glory during this difficult season, despite all circumstances. Only God can be given the glory for the village of friends and family who have surrounded the family with prayer, meals, gift cards, childcare, encouragement, finances, housing, and visits during this time. Words cannot express our gratitude for each of you, and we are thankful for your love and support!
