This is Pancake. His story starts from last Tuesday. My husband was on his way home from work; he was driving behind an unmarked dump truck on Memorial in Tulsa. He all of a sudden sees this tiny kitten fly out of the top and skid across the road. His name is Pancake since he was almost as flat as a pancake if everyone didn’t stop, but thankfully everyone stopped. My husband gets out to get him. Pancake then proceeded to run across the busy road and ended up getting stuck in an engine. After an hour of trying to get him, they finally retrieved him. He was terrified. He made it away from falling that far with a broken femur bone in his right rear leg and a broken canine baby tooth. He is about 12 weeks and only 3 pounds. His leg was unable to be splinted because of the spiral fracture. He was able to go in for surgery on Friday to place pins and wire in his leg. We are hoping it heals the way it is supposed to. He has a very long road to recovery. We go back in 6 weeks to see how it looks. My husband and I will always try to help animals in need, but this was not in the budget or planned. Any donations would be appreciated. At this time, he is not available for adoption. He is the sweetest boy; he went from this feral kitten to attached at the hip to us. Any and all donations will go towards his surgery and wellness care for him.
