Help Me Study Optometry Abroad in France & Germany!
Hi everyone! My name is Azalea, I’m a first year optometry student at the University of the Incarnate Word. I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to participate in the Optometry Summer 2026 Study Abroad Program, where I’ll spend 12 days learning about public health, legal aspects of optometry, and global eye care in Strasbourg, France and Heidelberg, Germany.
This program will allow me to:
• Visit European optical institutes and eyeglass manufacturers
• Learn about international optometric practices and public health systems
• Connect with professionals and expand my global understanding of eye care
The total estimated expense is about $5,000 which includes:
• Program fee: $3,600(lodging, transportation, insurance,)
• Airfare: $1,100
• Books: $400
As a full-time student, funding this trip on my own is challenging. I’m reaching out for your support to help make this educational experience possible. Any contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated.
Your generosity will directly support my tuition for this program, travel expenses, and educational materials. Even sharing this page means so much!
Thank you so much for supporting my journey to become an optometrist!
