Help Us Give Street Animals a Second Chance at Life

In 2019, two siblings—Alina Prasai Khadka and Sahil Prasai—followed their hearts and began rescuing injured and abandoned street animals in Nepal. Using only their personal savings, they treated countless animals right where they were found—on the roads, in fields, and in hidden corners of the city. It wasn’t easy. But love guided them.

As the number of animals in need grew, so did the realization that this mission needed structure, space, and support. In June 2023, Alina’s Animals Preservation Nepal was officially born.

Since then, we’ve rescued hundreds of voiceless animals and found loving homes for puppies and kittens. Every animal has a story—many were hit by vehicles, burned, abused, or simply left to suffer alone. We made a promise to each of them: You are not forgotten.

Today, our biggest dream is finally taking shape. We’re building a dedicated animal shelter and treatment center in Biratnagar, where injured, disabled, and abandoned animals will receive medical care, love, and a safe home.

We’ve completed a few rooms and welcomed some of our rescues into the shelter. But severe flooding and funding shortages have brought construction to a halt. Still, we are not giving up—because they need us.

Why We Urgently Need Your Help:

Without more kennels and treatment rooms, we cannot rescue or heal more animals.

Without proper fencing and security, vulnerable animals remain at risk.

Without medical facilities, we cannot save those on the brink of death.

Without additional staff, we cannot provide round-the-clock care.

When completed, our shelter will support over hundred resident animals and offer treatment to animals —all on a 7-year leased piece of land dedicated to giving hope and healing.

We do all this without any government support. We rely on kind hearts like yours to continue our mission.

Our Goal

To finish construction, expand our team, and provide comprehensive care, food, shelter, and rehabilitation for animals—especially the injured, the disabled, and the elderly. We also aim to raise awareness about animal rights and compassion throughout our community.
