Donate for Millie Joyce Moore's Heart Care

Our precious granddaughter, Millie Joyce Moore, was born on Friday, March 14, 2025 to her amazing parents, Caleb and Alexis. She is pure joy and wonder and we are so thankful to have her join our growing family!

However, just as her parents were preparing to take her home, doctors discovered a serious heart defect that would change everyone's plans.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of the financial burden Caleb & Alexis will experience with Millie's upcoming surgery and ongoing care.

Caleb and Alexis are high school sweethearts and their little family already includes Millie's energetic and affectionate big brother Elliott and their silly and loyal golden doodle, Teddy.

Caleb is a firefighter with the Frisco Fire Department and Alexis is the Development Coordinator at Cornerstone Ranch in McKinney, TX and they are both active members at The Trails Church in Celina, TX.

Anyone who knows Caleb & Alexis, knows that they are two of the most amazing people you could ever meet. Their faith and love for God and one another inspires their whole family and so many others. They are the most loving & involved parents to Elliott and now Millie and never miss an opportunity to seize joy in life.

Her parents share more of their story below and I encourage you to keep reading to get to know them a little bit better. Thank you for your support, prayers, and encouragement for this beautiful young family.

“About an hour before we were supposed to be discharged from the hospital with our precious newborn baby girl, Millie, her pediatrician discovered a heart murmur, which led to further testing and ultimately the discovery of a congenital heart defect called Double Outlet Right Ventricle with a Ventricular Septal Defect. In short, in Millie’s heart both the aorta and pulmonary artery originate from the right ventricle, causing deoxygenated and oxygenated blood to mix and be pumped through her body. We were quickly transported to Children’s Hospital in Dallas and Millie is currently under the care of the most incredible, intelligent, and compassionate doctors and nurses. She has already undergone one procedure to help correct some of her symptoms, and will eventually need to have heart surgery to fix what is wrong.

We are still without so many answers, and our family has a long road ahead to go. BUT the Lord has already done a miraculous work in sweet Millie’s life, and we are so thankful that she is getting the help she needs. Caleb and I are grieving what we hoped bringing home our daughter would look like, but filled with so much hope that one day she would be fully healed and living a completely normal life. We are so thankful to have had the most incredible and redemptive labor/birth experience, followed by 24 hours of newborn bliss full of cuddles, nursing, and soaking in the beauty of our daughter. Our God is the Great Physician - He has equipped Millie’s care team with everything they need to help our little girl, and He is sanctifying and strengthening our faith in this process. We are so thankful to be surrounded by an incredible support system who have stepped up to care for and encourage us, love on Elliott while mommy & daddy are away, and most importantly petition the Lord through prayer on our whole family’s behalf.

We are currently awaiting CT scan results to determine the next steps for Millie, but have been guaranteed that she will have to have open heart surgery within the next 4-8 months, with multiple hospital stays between now and then. We will continue to share updates on Millie’s progress as they become available, and just ask for continued prayer and encouragement to us, our families and our care team.

So many have generously asked what they can do to help, and our answer every time is unashamedly and whole heartedly to pray for our daughter - pray that the Lord would do a miraculous healing in her body and would bring her to full strength so we can all be together at home. We are seeing these prayers answered in real time and our faith is being strengthened by the moment. Our hope is that heaven would be loud with Millie’s name - there is no greater ask than to lay her sweet life at the feet of Jesus and beg for healing.

Thank you for supporting us on this difficult journey. Your kindness means the world to us."
