Mike and his sister Vivian are in a tough spot and need a little help from friends, family, and kindhearted strangers. Their A/C has gone out in their aging home in Las Vegas where temps have been over 110 degrees, and with both living on Social Security, they simply can’t afford to replace the entire system (which is what the electricians said had to be done). On top of that, they need to move by the first of the year. This would be hard enough on its own, but Mike’s health has been declining over the past year, with what appears to be Parkinson’s disease. Mike's mother passed away in 2005 from Parkinson's and it can be hereditary. He has a neurology appointment soon to get answers, but daily life has already become a challenge. The wheelchair Medicare provided is too heavy for him to lift into his car due to a bad shoulder, so he urgently needs a lighter one just to stay mobile.

We are hoping to raise $6,000 to cover moving expenses, first month’s rent, security deposit, and pet fees, along with a lightweight wheelchair for Mike. With Mike's condition, he will likely need to hire someone to do work packing and cleaning he could have done before.
