Good news! Melissa Oglesby has been given the opportunity for a heart transplant. If you know Melissa, you can't help but be overjoyed with the news. Melissa has been battling a heart condition for her entire life. She has cardiomyopathy and is now battling congestive heart failure. She has had multiple procedures in the past, but in recent years, the condition has worsened, so the family is very happy with the prospect of a new heart for Melissa. She is very grateful for the possibility of the heart transplant--a second chance at life.

This will be done at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and will require roughly 6 months of living in Jacksonville. So, with such great news comes a great expense: travel, lodging for six months while maintaining their home in Pensacola, medical bills, medications, etc. Her husband, David, will be her primary caretaker, leaving him unable to work as well.
