UPDATE: Lauri had the surgery and is still healing and recovering and will still appreciate any donations as she has lots of expenses due to this. We appreciate all and any help. Hi! My name is Michelle. I am raising funds for my beautiful friend Lauri who has been through so much with her bladder/kidneys and is in need of a life saving surgery.

It all started back in January of 2023. She needed to see her dr for a simple UTI. Dr did not even see her for an unheard of 9 weeks. Then gave her medicine and said you’ll be fine in 3 days. It did not work so Dr kept changing length of time/dose but nothing was working. It’s been a nightmare ever since.

Due to this medical neglect it has turned into a resistant infection that traveled to her kidneys. Ends up with sepsis and almost dying in September ‘23. She has had several operations and procedures up to now ending up with tubes in both kidneys and Stage 3 kidney disease.

The drs here in Rochester say there’s no hope. Lauri not excepting that answer found a world renowned surgeon at NYU Langone that has given her hope again.

She is scheduled to have reconstructive surgery in November 2024. But it comes with a lot of additional expenses.

This ordeal has kept her out of work and dwindled her savings. That is why I set up this page to help her with the added expenses.

Your donations will be going towards transportation, lodging, food etc.

The NYU drs have said a week in hospital and three weeks in NYC before she can return home safely. She also must have a caregiver with her too.

She is an amazing Mother and friend and she deserves to live her best life.
