Donate for Kalle's Heart Transplant Journey

My daughter Kalle is waiting for a heart transplant. She is a brave 26-year-old who is fighting for her life. She's in Boston under the constant watch of the cardiology team at Mass General. Our one wish is for a new heart for Kalle, a smooth recovery, and a new quality of life. I am dedicated to staying by her side, yet I am struggling to manage daily and long-term expenses. I am unable to work while she is in Boston or access FMLA since I have just begun my career as a nurse. We need your help in this journey to a new life for Kalle. Kalle is a fun-loving young lady who enjoys crafts and loves animals, especially her cats. Since birth, Kalle has struggled with a deficient heart. Her unique condition has required several open-heart surgeries and life-saving device implants. Kalle's heart has compromised her quality of life. More recently, Kalle has experienced several cardiac events; her medical devices saved her life, yet her condition is deteriorating. Since Nov 11th, she's been hospitalized and is currently prioritized on the national list for heart transplants; a new heart could arrive for her at any moment.

Every aspect of this journey is overwhelming - the waiting for a heart, the risks of surgery, the painful and long recovery ahead, the emotional process of healing, and more that we haven't processed yet. We can't control these aspects of the process, but your support can help to relieve the financial burden and keep us focused on the care that Kalle needs.
